ServicesGRD provides Electronic Keying Management System requirements for new cryptographic systems and design and prototyping for secure wireless computing systems. GRD is also assuring that new crypto systems reflect several critical changes to the key distribution infrastructure such as benign fill capable, interoperability with Navy Key Server Architecture, and that all crypto systems provide for migration from the Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) to the Key Management Infrastructure (KMI).GRD has been contracted by NRL to provide prototyping and system level requirements definition related to modernized EKMS/KMI architectures and components, assisting NRL in the development of a Net Broadcast Interface Device prototype. The System Level Requirements Document and ICD for Net Broadcast Device will play a large roll in determining the design details of the prototype. GRD has identified key concerns with the prototype requirements to include the challenge of interfacing to legacy crypto equipment, such as ANDVT or VINSON equipment. These legacy crypto interfaces can be difficult to interoperate with, since several of the signals have electrical characteristics that are uncommon among designers of modern interfaces. |
